This year we’re being encouraged by the Discipleship Working Group to be growing mature in Christ (a life-long endeavour!). This means growing in our understanding of the Bible, Worship, Service, Relationships, Evangelism, and Prayer – the latter of which was our focus in today’s Ministry Minute.
During the segment, which you can listen to below, Ray Jackson was interviewed about his prayer life and how we all might seek to grow in this way. We also discussed that there’s a range of ways that you can get involved in the prayer life of our church, both alone (e.g., reading the prayer points in each week’s NEWS, being a member of the prayer chain, upholding our missions in prayer, and getting ideas from the weekly Bible Reading Notes) and together (weekly prayer meetings, intercessions at any of our services, prayer after the 9.30am service, and in a Small Group). My hope is that by the end of year, we will have a richer prayer life – individually and as a whole church. I hope that this interview is of great encouragement and that we all might find time everyday to spend in prayer – whether we’re starting small or deepening a habit already established.[audio:http://anglicanchurchnoosa.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ministryminute_prayer.mp3|titles=Ministry Minute: Prayer]
