Dear friends,

Let me take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your partnership in the Gospel through the year. It’s been a challenging year, and yet there is so much for which to be thankful!

I haven’t had time to write personal letters this year. So sorry about that! So please take this as a sincere thank you to you for all you’ve contributed whether in large or small ways.

I want to specifically thank Fiona, Ian, Simon and Jo who have been such wonderful colleagues.

Thank you also to the wardens, treasurer, parish council, small group leaders; those who have helped with music, welcoming, flowers; our liturgical assistants and sacristans; those who have helped with working bees and maintenance; children’s and youth ministry in all their forms; the Johns Landing and Samaritan care teams; all those who have cleaned; helped with morning tea, supper and other catering; our money counters, intercessors, readers, projector operators. So many!  Yet of course – each and every one of you have played your part in building our church – thank you!

What a blessing it has been this year to see both our new buildings in full use. Every time I see an activity in either of our new facilities which would not have been possible previously, I’m so very grateful to God and to all who contributed to our building project!

As you will have seen from our flyers this year, our theme for Christmas 2017 is both the wonder and challenge of the message. Have a wonderful Christmas – marvelling at the wonder that God should enter into our world and rising to the challenge of living with him and for him!

With love and prayer,

The Rev’d Mark Calder, Minister
