Moranbah is located on the Peak Downs Highway between Mackay and Clermont, about 400 kilometres north-west of Rockhampton, in Central Queensland. It is a town that was specifically built for miners and their families working in the regions’ coal mines. The population of Moranbah is young, multicultural and transient, due to fluctuations in the resources sector. It has a population of around 8000 people and has a hot and dry climate.
February Prayer points: Pray for our Diocese as Bishop David has retired, and as we search for a new Bishop. Pray that the new Bishop will be a person of prayer, Scripture, and be able to lead our region in outreach.
