Funerals
Organising a Funeral
In most cases the funeral director will contact the Church at the request of the family to arrange a funeral. The funeral will be conducted either at the church or at the local funeral directors chapel dependent upon requirements.
Before the funeral the priest will meet with family representatives to arrange the service and the eulogy.
The order of service is laid down in the ‘Prayer Book for Australia’, however, there are parts of the service which can be personalised.
Optionally, the priest may organise volunteers from the Church to provide a morning tea or supper.
There is no cost for a funeral service but donations to the Church are welcome.
