Welcome to WOMEN IN MINISTRIES! We believe all who follow Jesus are co-workers in God’s good work and to our community and world. There are several ways to join us as God calls us to unique service and worship opportunities.

Our goal? “Living loved”

Our approach? “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”—African Proverb

WOMEN OF WISDOM: “Why the Greatest Commandments Still Are!”

Every Thursday morning in May 2018, 25-30 of our women gathered to learn what it meant to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and love our neighbours as ourselves. Thanks to all who came along, served and shared your time and stories!

Listen to the talks here:

Jo Kadlecek on Heart; Susan Calder on Soul; Jo Kadlecek on Mind; Susan Calder on Self; Ruth Craven on Neighbour.

We had a great time at our April Women’s Breakfast with 85 in attendance from our three church sites. And what a privilege it was to have Diane Cody Lovell, our mission partner in South Africa, share on John 13:34. You can read her talk here.

Check out what happened at our 2018 WOMEN’S ReTreat in Montville!

Special thanks to the Anglican Church of Montville, Alison Whalley (our speaker) and the ReTreat team: Di Albrecht, Amy Armitage, Marion Cochrane, Ruth Craven, Elma Samson and Fiona Thompson!

WOMEN OF WISDOM SERIES: Happy Hour Returned to WOW Oct. 2017IMG_3792

An archive of ALL recorded teachings can be accessed here.

Fridays 6, 13 and 27 October from 5pm-6:30 at Tewantin

Join us for a glass of bubbly and nibbles as our next Women of Wisdom gathering explores chapters 3 & 4 of Paul’s letter to the Philippians. All our welcome!

WOW: August 2017, Thursdays 11-12:30 at Sunshine Beach Church.

We’ll be exploring Philippians 1 & 2 (Philippians 3 & 4 in October!), with a new approach in a panel discussion:

“Conversations in Philippians: Becoming Citizens of a Holy Colony”
Thurs., Aug 3: Chapter 1: 1-18. Jo with Rosemary Thompson and Gillian Gilbert
Thurs., Aug. 10 Chapter 1: 19-30 Jo with Kaye Hooper and Lesley Bloomfield
Thurs., Aug. 17 Chapter 2: 1-11 Jo with Susan Calder and ??
Thurs., Aug. 24 Chapter 2: 12-30 Jo with Ruth Craven and Di Albrecht
We’ve learned that WOW is a great time for building friendships around Scripture while also inviting women to draw closer to Jesus. (Sorry to those of you who have Thursday commitments!) And we’re happy to help with child care as well since we now have the new hall!
