Congratulations on two accounts. First on the birth of your baby. We trust these early days are going well. Second, on choosing to mark your child’s birth with a significant church ceremony. We are glad to help.

A choice from two services

At a thanksgiving service, we give thanks to God for the great joy and blessing of a new baby and ask God’s blessing on them as they grow up. This is a great way of marking such a significant occasion.

At a baptism service, parents make searching and serious promises about their own relationship with Jesus and raising their children in a relationship with Jesus. Then, following the 1st century tradition we pour water on the baby’s head as a sign of God’s loving welcome into his family. Our office would be glad to email you samples of both services.

What now?

If you email or call the office, Fiona would be glad to send the services and a form to complete. If after looking at the services, you are happy to proceed, you need to make a (child-free) time to see one of our ministers who will explain the services and help you decide which is right for you. Should you wish to proceed, the minister can discuss a convenient date for the service. If you live out of town we encourage you to speak to your local Anglican church unless there is a special reason for wanting the service at Noosa.

We know you would love our Contemporary service at Tewantin. It’s at 9.30am and is a relaxed child friendly service. Of course, you would also be welcome at our other family service also at 930am in the the Studio of St Andrew’s Anglican College Peregian Springs.
