Chris joined us in July 2020 as our Senior Minister. Together with Lynda they have over 3 decades of ministry experience in the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland following study at Ridley College in Melbourne. They have ministered in Kenmore, Moggill, Zillmere, North Pine and Gold Coast North.

Chris grew up in Brisbane, and initially completed a Bachelor of Business before moving south to study theology. Chris and Lynda married in 1986, have three married children and a growing tribe of grandchildren which bring them much delight.

Chris is passionate about seeing disciples growing to maturity and making more disciples. Seeing the body of Christ gathered for worship, equipping and empowering people to use their God-given gifts, and helping others see that Jesus is the rescuer we all need, is what drives him to get up each morning.

Rev Lynda, our Associate, joined us in July 2020 with her husband, Chris. Lynda grew up in Wollongong, becoming a Christian when she gave her life to the Lord at the age of 11.

Lynda has enjoyed the piano for most of her life, both playing and teaching. She moved to Sydney in her twenties and it was there that she was encouraged to pursue pastoral ministry. Lynda moved to Melbourne to study theology at Ridley College, and it was there that she met Chris. After marrying and moving to Brisbane, she then completed more theological study and was ordained in 2000. Lynda has had several Diocesan roles, including Diocesan committees, and has been on a School Council for 12 years, including a time as Chair.

Lynda is committed to developing evangelical ministry across Queensland and in that role, she Chairs EFAC Qld [Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion], a global organisation started by John Stott in the 1960s.

Lynda loves spending time with her adult children and their spouses, along with seven grandchildren! She also loves dabbling in photography, making and drinking great coffee, and together with Chris, they are looking forward to exploring the waterways of Noosa on their kayak.

Brad is married to Joh and they have three daughters, Jemima, Ella and Evie.

Brad has special responsibility for our Peregian congregation which meets in the Illawong Room of St Andrew’s Anglican College in Peregian Springs.

We welcomed them to the team in October 2021.

Melissa joined the team in January 2021. She is married to Cameron, who works with Anglicare. They have two teenage children Joel and Brianna.

Cameron and Melissa served for one year with an indigenous Christian mission in Indonesia – Vision 1:1:1 – 1 Church in every 1 Village in 1 Generation with headquarters in the city of Yogyakarta on the main island of Java. On returning to Sydney they worked together producing videos for various Christian mission organisations. They have been on the Sunshine Coast for 12 years and many would know Melissa’s parents, Syd and Pixie Hughes who worship with us at Tewantin.

Melissa’s background is legal secretarial, and she enjoys reading, walking the family dog (Rosie), communicating with her treasured friends, and supporting her family. She finds it a great privilege to be working with Chris, Lynda, Brad and the parish ministry team.

Gary finds it a privilege to live and work in this beautiful part of God’s world. His passion is to help people discover Jesus Christ and grow in their knowledge and love of Him. In January 2017 Gary and his family relocated from Melbourne, where he was an Anglican Minister in a large church in the south-eastern suburbs for 13 years. Prior to Melbourne they lived in Sydney, where Gary worked in the construction industry before retraining and working in full time Christian ministry, specifically with youth.

Gary’s beautiful wife, Bek, is a physiotherapist and together they have two terrific daughters: Jazlyn and Indi. He loves camping, 4-wheel driving, the beach, good food, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends. He is excited to be the Community Chaplain at St Andrew’s Anglican College, working in partnership with the Anglican Church of Noosa.

Chris serves as the Principal of St Andrew’s Anglican College Peregian Springs, is a member of the congregation that meets at the college, and is occasionally involved in leading worship services across our three locations.
